High Lodge in Thetford Forest named one of best UK forests to explore this summer
A list of some of the UK’s best forests has been revealed just in time for the summer holidays – and one in the East of England has made the list.
High Lodge in Thetford Forest has been named as one of the top family-friendly destinations in the UK for trails, dog walks, and bike rides, according to outdoor brand Millets.
The popular outdoor venue is known for its attractions and activities including Go Ape courses, Segways, an 18-hole mini golf course, a nine-hole Frisby golf course and an archery range.
Additionally, it offers themed trails like the Gruffalo trail as well as the Zog the Dragon trail which encourages visitors to engage with augmented reality via an app.
Ethan Ball, of Millets, said: “This forest has everything you’ll need to feel like a real-life Robin Hood.”
Other forests on the list included Kielder Forest, Haldon Forest Park and Delamere Forest.
High Lodge was also praised for its Serenity Yoga sessions which use nature as a backdrop for relaxation.
