Multiple fire crews tackling 60,000sq metre fire at Santon Downham in Thetford Forest

Multiple fire appliances are currently at the scene of a forest fire in Suffolk.

Five pumps are in attendance at Marks Lane, Santon Downham, which lies within Thetford Forest, tackling 300m by 200m of forest and undergrowth which is well alight.

Crews were alerted to the fire at 2.41pm.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service said that there is currently no mention of casualties or people involved.
