Section of A11 shut northbound between B1106 at Elveden and A134 near Thetford after fuel spillage from vehicle

A section of a major route outside a town is shut following a fuel spillage from an agricultural vehicle.

The A11 is closed northbound between the B1106 at Elveden and the A134 near Thetford.

National Highways have deployed resources to assist with traffic management and to clean and treat the fuel spillage.

According to the AA traffic map, there is queuing traffic on the A11 heading back towards Elveden and delays on London Road heading back towards Thetford.

Norfolk Police are at the scene.

Road users are advised to follow this diversion as follows:

At Eleveden crossroads turn right onto the B1106 and continue to the junction with Green Road.

At the junction turn right onto Green Road and continue to the junction with the B1107.

At the junction turn right and continue on the B1107 to re-join the A11 at the roundabout.
