LEARN MOREA student is running 27 miles in as many days to raise awareness to mental health issues.
Takara Allum is taking on the 27/27 challenge for the second year running – organised by charity Mind to help tackle mental health problems amongst students.
Miss Allum, who studies at Kent University, had been inspired to take on the challenge again after raising an impressive £1,300 last time around.
The 22-year-old, who lives in Thwaite, said: “I raised so much last year and I just wanted to keep going with it, especially seeing as I found doing the run had been great for my own mental health.”
Since she began her challenge on March 1, she has already raised more than £480 – making her almost halfway towards reaching her £1,000 target.
