Man in critical condition after stabbing on A134 Bury Road in Thetford




A man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times in Thetford.

Emergency services were called today at 11.48am to reports of a fight in Bury Road during which a man in his 30s suffered multiple stab wounds.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where his condition is described as critical.

Bury Road is closed to vehicles and pedestrians and diversion routes are in place.

Following initial inquiries officers have attended a property in Amulet Close and a cordon is in place there.

Three people, two women and a man, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit attempted murder.

Supt Sonia Humphreys, who is leading the investigation, said: "We understand this will be concerning to any residents in the area who witnessed the incident and we will have officers on patrol in the area.

“An investigation has been launched and we are in the early stages of our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
