Teenagers, 18 and 17, arrested in Kent on suspicion of attempted murder after Thetford stabbing




Two teenagers who were wanted by police in connection with a stabbing in Thetford have been arrested in Kent.

An 18-year-old, of Thetford, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Kent today alongside a 17-year-old boy who was also wanted.

They have been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning where they remain.

Officers were called to Bury Road at about 11.45am on March 10 to reports of a fight where a man in his 30s suffered multiple stab wounds.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with life-threatening injuries. His condition was critical but later stabilised.

Three people, a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder on the day of the incident, but were released on police bail until May 7.

Another woman, in her 30s, was arrested at an address in Cambridge the day after the stabbing on suspicion of assisting an offender.

After being taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, she was released under investigation.
