Methwold Hythe motorbike crash leaves man seriously injured

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries at the weekend after his bike left the road in Methwold Hythe.

Police are appealing for witnesses after they were called to a collision in Old Severalls Road at around 5.15pm on Saturday.

It was reported that a black, Suzuki Bandit motorcycle had left the road and collided with a raised grass verge, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorbike.

The rider, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the collision.

The motorcycle is believed to have been travelling in a small group of motorbikes in the direction of Methwold.

Anyone who may have information, or dashcam footage from the area at the time is asked to contact PC Richard Vinen at Swaffham Police Station, on 101, quoting incident number 305 of Saturday 7 August.
