Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds date for the Central School of Ballet’s 2024 graduating class

Enjoy the mesmerising grace and power of classical ballet along-side dynamic contemporary dance as Ballet Central’s young talent comes to the Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds later this month.

The company is made up of 32 young dancers, the 2024 graduating class of the world-renowned Central School of Ballet, based on the South Bank, in London.

This year’s programme, created by artistic director Kate Coyne, includes the final act of Petipa’s Coppélia, a celebration of classical ballet with the score by Leo Delibes.

Two newly-commissioned works make their debut: Jules Cunningham’s contemporary work Stay On It, set to a rhythmic track by minimalist composer Julius Eastman; and Carolyn Bolton’s high energy ballet Night Flight v2.0, performed to a new score by Philip Feeney.

Daniel Davidson's recent work, I think we’re on different planets, is a moving evocation of heartache and our yearning for connection.

Ballet Central is at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, on June 19. See www.theatreroyal.org
