National Trust property Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds, hosts work by members of Suffolk Craft Society

The skills and creativity of crafts people across Suffolk will be going on show at Ickworth House as part of its Ickworth on the World Stage exhibition.

The Suffolk Craft Society, which has around 90 makers, will be exhibiting a wide range of contemporary crafts from ceramics to jewellery, painting to sculptures and many more.

Their work has been influenced by Ickworth on the World Stage, which explores the global influence of the Hervey family - from their Suffolk roots to their escapades around Europe and beyond. It invites visitors to go on their own Grand Tour, exploring the impact one family had across the world, and the influence of their wordly travels on the estate.

The crafts will be on display in The West Wing Gallery of Ickworth House, with sculptures in its gardens, from August 22 to September 14, 10am-4.30pm daily.

The society's exhibition is part of a rolling programme of events at the National Trust property which started earlier in the year to mark Ickworth on the World Stage.
