Musicians join together to release single to raise funds for Save Our Venues campaign
Local musicians have got together to record a BandAid single to raise funds to help save grassroots music venues threatened with closure.
With the current situation banning gatherings, venues are under threat and those who perform in them are stepping up to help.
Red Glass, an alternative rock band from Eye, have recorded a single, called Apart, to support the national campaign Save Our Venues.
They’ve enlisted the help of fellow artists. Apart features the vocal talents of Fleas vocalist Pedro (from Bury), last year’s BurySOUND winner Gabby Rivers (Bury), Josie Newton (Bury), Fuze (Bury), HeadRush vocalist Joe (Cambridge), Minus Nothing vocalist Rowan (Norwich) and In Debt (Norwich).
Recorded in isolation, the single has been released on Band Camp (bandcamp.com) and an isolation video can be viewed on YouTube with a link to donate – 100 per cent of money raised will go to the campaign.
