Tales of ghostly apparitions, spectres and monks promise to get you chilled to the core if you join the Ghostly and Macabre Walk around Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday, October 31.

A real family event, the Pumpkin Festival at Brandon Country Park is in its fourth year.
Enjoy pumpkin carving, a strange animals stall, dance demos, music, or take to the spooky woodland trail.
There’s a Hallowe’en fancy dress competition for youngsters, as well as face painting, slime making, storytelling and more.

A new pumpkin patch on the scene for this year is one in aid of a local charity.
GeeWizz founder Gina Long and her husband Andrew have devoted three acres of land at their farm, Hall Farm in Fornham All Saints, so children can go and choose their own pumpkins.
“It’s been a personal ambition to open our own GeeWizz Pumpkin Patch having seen my own children loving every second that we spent choosing their own pumpkins when we lived in California 25 years ago,” explained Gina. “It’s simply a fun way for families to be together, showing the children how the pumpkins are grown, for them to understand and see first-hand where their pumpkins come from at Hall Farm.”
There will also be a maize maze and other Hallowe’en festivities for the whole family to enjoy.
GeeWizz provides specialist equipment to children, young adults and their families living with a life-threatening condition, a disability or cancer.
The pumpkin patch and maize maze will be open from October 20 to 28, 10am-4pm.

The freaky ghost walk fundraiser takes place on Saturday, October 18 with walks between 7pm and 10pm.
The Prospect Trust runs the 18-acre care farm supporting people with additional needs.

Sally and Anthony Pooley have been growing pumpkins for 18 years and running the pumpkin patch for more than a decade. Sally said: “The children love the pumpkin patch. It allows them to let off steam – there aren’t many places it is safe to let them run around and have fun.”
Let the children burn off some energy on the range of inflatables, including a farmyard obstacle course, pumpkin and ‘Last Man Standing’ witches hat, climb straw bales and, on six dates, the Foolhardy Circus Entertainers will be performing shows and offering workshops.
The fun starts this weekend and will be open every weekend in October, 10am-5pm and all of half-term week.
