Best known as Meat Loaf’s Girl Friday in the magnificent ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Light’, Patti Russo appears at The Apex on Saturday, April 11.

For decades, Patti has performed alongside some of the world’s finest rock and pop artists including Queen, Roger Daltrey, Jeff Beck and Cher; but her most recognisable role was that of the powerhouse female vocalist for the legendary artist Meat Loaf.

For nearly 20 years, she has been an integral part of Meat Loaf’s touring and recording career, cementing Patti’s status as the perfect foil for Meat’s bombastic and over the top theatrical stage performances.

Since 1995 Patti has appeared on all his recordings and played an important role in creating some of the most memorable stage performances, especially for that famous mini opera ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Light’.

Patti has also featured on other recordings such as Bryan Ferry’s ‘Frantic’ and the movie soundtrack to Jim Carrey’s The Grinch.

Her song writing credits include ‘Running for the Red Light (I’ve Gotta Life)’, with Meatloaf, which reached the Top 20 in the UK and Germany as well as ‘Take Good Care Of My Heart’, which was featured in the film South Beach Dreams and according to one New York Times reporter – ‘trumped the film itself’.

The gig starts at 8pm. For tickets call 01284 758000 or visit www.theapex.co.uk
