Win family tickets to the East Anglian Game and Country Fair at the Euston Estate, in Suffolk, in April
From falconry to fishing, horseboarding to hound parades, crafts to culinary skills and ferrets to fair rides, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s 21st East Anglian Game and Country Fair.
Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, at the home of the Duke and Duchess of Grafton on the Euston Estate, the event welcomes world-class attractions each year.
SuffolkNews has teamed up with the East Anglian Game and Country Fair to give away 10 family tickets. Read on to find out what a fun day you and your family could enjoy and then enter our competition.
Main arena displays will include The OMG FMX Team performing breathtaking jumps and stunts mid-air. Peter and the team of riders will also be available after each performance to meet the crowd and have photos taken.
The famous Shetland Pony Grand National will make their debut appearance at the show and firm favourites the Horseboarding UK Championships will be filmed and broadcast live from the arena, showcasing how speed, agility and bravery are all essential ingredients in this addictive spectacle.
Don’t miss the Waveney and Norfolk Harriers ‘White Woofers’ hound parade – a spectacle not to be missed!
There will be a great line-up of free events to watch in the Main Arena and across the show, including the Mid Norfolk Gun Dog displays, Fens Falconry Birds of Prey displays, fishing demonstrations with World Champion Fly Caster Hywel Morgan, a hilarious Sheep Show, traditional ferreting demonstrations with Simon Whitehead, live craft demonstrations and more.
Join in and 'have a go' at a range of country activities from clay shooting with John Bidwell’s High Lodge instructors (or enter the 40-bird shooting competition for men, women and juniors).
New for 2025 will be a dedicated clay shoot car park closer to the clay line and Gunmakers Row.
Visitors can try their hand at fly fishing and coarse fishing on the Black Bourn River. Archery, axe throwing and the air rifle range can also be enjoyed.
Breckland Land Rover Club will be running an exciting new woodland off road 4x4 course. Choose from a classic Land Rover or competition car and enjoy being driven round the course by one of the team!
If your family’s best friend likes the water, then why not enter them into the ‘have a go’ or the competition at the K9 Aqua Sports pool (long jump into water for dogs). There's also a family fun pet dog show.
You will find more than 350 shopping stands with a wide variety of products from fashion and footwear to gun makers and fishing products.
National organisations will be on hand to discuss conservation, countryside pursuits and membership, there will be children’s activities including pony rides, a traditional fun fair, food and drink hall with Game Fair Country Kitchen, where talented chefs from across the East Anglian region showcase their culinary skills, craft and gift marquees and much more.
