Aldeburgh burglaries prompt police appeal

A concert hall and charity were broken into during separate burglaries in Aldeburgh.

The burglaries were between 8pm on Sunday and 8am yesterday morning.

A concert hall in Crabbe Street was broken into when unknown people forced a side door open.

A search was undertaken of the office and an attempt was made to remove a safe, but nothing was stolen. Crime reference number: 37/66039/21.

In the same time period, a charity on Crag Path was broken into when a concrete block was used to smash a glass window to gain entry.

A search was then carried out, with a safe forced open and cash from inside stolen. Crime reference number: 37/66065/21.

Suffolk Police are asking anyone with information relating to the burglaries to contact them quoting the crime reference numbers above.
