LEARN MORESuffolk singer Ed Sheeran has submitted a planning application for a boat-shaped chapel with a built-in burial chamber to be constructed on his estate.
Plans for the development in the grounds of the star's Framlingham home were submitted to East Suffolk Council on December 24.
Initial drawings show a boat-shaped out-building containing a space towards the rear labelled 'burial zone'.
The depictions also show the building would be complete with a tower, stair turret and lobby area.
Other reports suggest the burial chamber would measure 8.9ft (2.71m) by 5.9ft (1.8m), which has been likened to the size of a double grave plot.
The plans are set to be decided by the East Suffolk planning team next month and will be determined by February 17.
