Ed Sheeran, of Framlingham, tops Heat's Rich List 2021 as wealthiest British celebrity aged 30 or under
Suffolk star Ed Sheeran has retained his crown as the richest British celebrity aged 30 and under, according to a rich list compiled by Heat magazine.
For the third year in a row, the Framlingham singer-songwriter has placed at the top of the list, with his estimated worth increasing over the last 12 months to £236.5m, up from £210m last year.
Sheeran, 30, has been named the richest British celebrity on Heat's Rich List since 2019, when he was reported to be worth £170m - the previous year he had placed second to Adele, when he was said to be worth £94m.
According to Heat, Sheeran, who has just released his new album = (equals), can now boast the most-streamed single of all time with Shape of You, as well as the highest-grossing tour ever, with £567m for the ÷ (divide) tour.
But, the magazine says his worth comes at a heavy price, with his Suffolk estate costing £27,000 a year to clean and his tax bill adding up to £28.3m.
Sheeran is said to be worth more than double the amount of the celebrity placing second on the list, fellow popstar and former One Direction singer Harry Styles, who has retained his number two position, with £80m.
Pop band Little Mix place third with £66.7m, followed by singer and second of the former One Direction members to make the list, Niall Horan with £57.5m.
Model and actress Cara Delevigne comes in fifth with £52m, with singers Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne coming after, both with £47m.
Pop stars Dua Lipa (£43.m), Zayn Malik (£38m) and Sam Smith (£36.8m) are eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.
