Four people taken to hospital after crash involving Citroen C4 and Toyota Hilux in The Street, Charsfield




Four people have been taken to hospital and a road is closed following a crash in a Suffolk village today.

Fire and ambulance crews, along with police teams and a SARS volunteer critical care paramedic, were sent to the scene of the collision involving a Citroen C4 and a Toyota Hilux in Charsfield's The Street at about 11.34am.

A police spokeswoman said the four people travelling in the Citroen have been taken to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The road remains closed at this time.

The ambulance service said they treated six patients at the scene before transporting four to Ipswich Hospital for further assessment and care.

A fire service spokeswoman added: "All casualties were out of the vehicles and in the hands of the ambulance service, Suffolk Fire and Rescue made the scene safe."

Three fire crews from Woodbridge, Princes Street and Framlingham attended the incident, and left the scene at about 11.53am.
