Fire crews tackle building blaze on Bealings Road in Martlesham

Firefighters were called to a building which is well alight in a Suffolk village this afternoon.

Crews were sent to the scene of the single-storey building fire on Bealings Road in Martlesham, which they were alerted to just before 4.25pm.

Police closed a road while they dealt with the blaze, a fire service spokeswoman said.

Crews from Ipswich East, Woodbridge and Princes Street had been sent to the scene.

A stop was called to the incident and firefighters were able to start leaving the scene at about 7.07pm.
