Firefighters from Orford, Aldeburgh and Leiston battle blaze on edge of Tunstall Forest

Firefighters battled a blaze in the open on the edge of a Suffolk forest.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident, near Tunstall Forest, in Ferry Road, at 6.45am.

A spokeswoman said an area of 100 metres x 20 metres was alight.

Three crews from Orford, Aldeburgh and Leiston attended.

The incident was dealt with by 11am.
