Pump Street Bakery in Orford named best in Suffolk in National Bakery Awards




A family-owned bakery and chocolate maker is thrilled to have been crowned the best in Suffolk.

Pump Street Bakery, based in Orford, has been named winner for the county in the National Bakery Awards.

Joanna Brennan, who founded the bakery in 2010 alongside her father, Chris, said it was an incredible honour to have secured the award.

She said it was a testament to the hard work that the team put in each and every day.

Joanna added: “We are thrilled to receive the title and award of 'Best Bakery in Suffolk'.

“A massive congratulations to the entire bakery team and thank you to our local customers and those who visit us from far and wide.

“It makes doing what we do such a pleasure.”

Pump Street Bakery sells a selection of chocolate made in-house, bread and handmade pastries.

It features a small sit-in café serving sweet and savoury baked goods alongside tea and coffee.

Pump Street Chocolate, a chocolate maker run by the same family, is also based in Orford.
