Man arrested on suspicion of drug driving after teenager injured in collision between car and motorbike in Hacheston

Witnesses are being sought after a collision involving a car and a motorbike in a Suffolk village last week in which a teenager suffered minor injuries.

Police want to hear from anyone who can help their investigation into the crash in Hacheston on Tuesday, November 24 at 5.30pm.

A man in his 50s who was driving the car was arrested on suspicion of drug driving but has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Officers said the collision happened on the B1116 at the junction with Easton Lane, involving a red Toyota MR2 and a black Yamaha motorcycle.

The car was travelling towards Hacheston on Easton Lane and the motorbike was heading northbound on The Street on the B1116 towards Framlingham.

The male teenage motorbike rider suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered, and it reopened at 10.50pm.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or who may have any dash cam footage.
