Police hunt for Hollesley Bay prison absconder Samir Byberi

Police have launched a manhunt for a convicted drug dealer who has absconded from Hollesley Bay prison.

Samir Byberi, 35, was reported missing at about 6.30pm today after he was absent from a roll call.

Byberi is serving a 15-year sentence for being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

He is described as 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build, with brown eyes and brown hair. He may have a beard.

Anyone who believes they have seen Samir Byberi or who has any information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to contact Suffolk police on 101, quoting CAD reference 303 of today.
