Pair taken to hospital in Leiston two-car collision

A man has had to be released from a car by the fire service in Leiston this evening following a collision, which saw him and another being taken to hospital.

Suffolk Fire Service was called to Waterloo Avenue (B1119) just before 6pm, with units from Woodbridge, Framlingham and Lowestoft South attending.

The collision is believed to have involved another car and a lamp post - with two people from the same vehicle being taken to hospital.

The two-hour incident saw two people go to hospital for treatment.

The incident did not cause any delays on the road and the call was ended just before 8pm.
