Firefighters remove vehicle's roof and door to rescue person trapped inside car following crash in Grundisburgh

Emergency crews rescued a person who was trapped inside a car following a collision in a Suffolk village this afternoon.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the single vehicle crash on Ipswich Road at Grundisburgh at about 3.10pm.

A police spokeswoman said the car had come off the road and gone into a ditch.

And a fire service spokesman said firefighters removed a car roof and door to access the person who was trapped inside the vehicle.

The person was left in the care of the ambulance service, but it is not believed that anyone suffered serious injuries in the collision.
