Thirteen wild birds found dead in an East Suffolk woodland are believed to have been shot illegally.
The birds, which included four gulls, were discovered in Butley, near Woodbridge.
X-rays showed that one of the gulls contained shot in the head and neck consistent with being targeted with a shotgun.
The birds, which are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, were not birds of prey.
