Woodbridge 41 Club Charity Christmas Card Shop moves from Market Hill to former Hudsons, in Thoroughfare

A pop-up Christmas card shop in Woodbridge which has raised more than £1 million in three decades has moved to a new store.

Woodbridge 41 Club Charity Christmas Card Shop has moved into the former Hudsons at 54 Thoroughfare, next door to Honey and Harvey, having moved from Market Hill.

Roger Parker, of Ipswich, who has run the store since 1993, said he hoped the new location would prove more convenient for customers.

He said: “Sending a Christmas card is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family.

“I am very grateful to all the shop volunteers and customers who support the shop.”

Open from October to December, the outlet sells cards to raise money for a variety of worthy causes.

Cards are from a large selection of charities, including the RNLI, Marie Curie Cancer, Barnardos, Blue Cross, St Elizabeth Hospice, East Anglian Children’s Hospices and East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The store is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday through Sunday.
