Leasehold of The Ship Inn, in School Road, Blaxhall, near Woodbridge, on the market for £35,000
A Grade II-listed village pub is on the market with a leasehold of £35,000.
The Ship Inn, in School Road, Blaxhall, near Woodbridge, is being marketed by Everard Cole.
The freehouse has two main trade areas with space for 60 covers, a commercial kitchen and 25-space car park as well as two chalet-style letting blocks which have eight ensuite rooms.
The Stables to the front comprises four twins and doubles, with larger rooms at the back of the site, including triple and family rooms.
Terry Davey, 80, the owner of The Ship for the last 17 years, has decided to lease the premises to experienced operators who can capitalise on the pub’s popularity and social history.
The outdoor area of the pub has two covered seating areas with space for 60 to 80 people, which is regularly used for music sessions and bands.
The Ship has a long history of folk music, which is still being played at the venue today.
It has a number of other outbuildings used for storage, logs, fridge freezers, dry stores and staff changing and sleeping areas.
The first floor of the pub comprises residential accommodation, which has two ensuite bedrooms, a lounge and an office.
The pub, which stretches over half an acre, comes fully fitted.
Everard Cole’s advert said the business is trading well but has scope to increase further, given the recently refurbished letting accommodation.
