Stolen Ford Focus involved in crash with BMW on the A12 at Saxmundham




Police are searching for witnesses after a stolen car was involved in a crash on the A12 in Suffolk and failed to stop at the scene last week.

Officers said the blue Ford Focus (number plate KC57 MOA), which was parked on Saxmundham's St Johns Road, was stolen some time between Saturday, May 29 and Tuesday, June 1.

The car was involved in a two-vehicle crash with a BMW 435D on the A12 at Saxmundham at about 4.50pm on June 1. No injuries were reported.

The driver of the Ford Focus failed to stop at the scene of the collision but the car was found a short time later on Heron Road in the town.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the theft or the collision, including dash-cam footage, to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting reference 28816/21.
