Suffolk gastropub The Unruly Pig in Woodbridge finishes second in Estrella Damm's Top 50 Gastropubs list
A Suffolk pub has finished second place in a national competition.
The Unruly Pig in Woodbridge clinched second place on the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list.
It's the second year running they have achieved a top three spot after they came first place last year in the UK.
The Top 50 Gastropubs website said: "Winsome and warm, Suffolk’s Unruly Pig serves filling and well-crafted pub food in an environment that reflects the personalities of the people behind the stunning venue.
"Owner Brendan Padfield is a force of nature, being witty, charismatic and ultimately passionate about the pub he founded following a 36-year career in law.
"The maverick owner, along with his outstanding team including chef supreme Dave Wall, has transformed the pub over several years into the stunning phenomenon it is today."
Two other gastropubs made the top 100 list as The Brewers in Rattlesden came 70th and The Greyhound Inn in Pettistree finished 87th.
The venue has come a long way since joining the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list as a newcomer in 2017.
The Parkers Arms and the Freemasons at Wiswell, both in Clitheroe, Lancashire, came first and third respectively.
