Wantisden Park close to Woodbridge named in top 10 of UK's best new glamping sites
A Suffolk holiday park has been named in a top 10 list of the UK's best new glamping locations.
Wantisden Park, 20 minutes from Woodbridge, was handed the accolade by The Guardian who whittled down new staycation spots all over the country to choose their favourites.
The Guardian noted the eight-lodge Suffolk site is close to the coast and has beautiful surroundings of woodland and lakes.
Some of the pods have hot tubs and there are pitches for campers in tents or vans to stay also.
The Guardian also said: "Miles of footpaths encircle the park and it is a 15-minute walk to the nearest pub. Sutton Hoo is 10 minutes’ drive, and it’s 15 minutes to Orford and the coast.
"Wooden tents sleep two from £50, pods and lodges sleep four from £320 for two nights."
Kate Baker, director of Wantisden Park, said: "All of us at Wantisden Park are thrilled to have been named one of the UK’s best new glamping sites by the Guardian.
It is always a bit daunting starting a new business especially through a pandemic but I am lucky enough to have the most amazing staff who continue to work so hard throughout the year.
To have such positive publicity really does make everything we do feel worthwhile as well as promoting our beautiful county of Suffolk with guests from all around the country and from abroad."
The list sought out glamping sites The Guardian deemed were 'in a league of their own'.
Other sites that made the list include Moat Island, Haveringland Hall in Norfolk and Dartmoor Domes in Devon.
