The Fox Inn in Newbourne, near Woodbridge, is in the running for national pub of the year




A Suffolk pub is in the running for national pub of the year.

The Fox Inn in Newbourne, near Woodbridge, has been named in the East of England section of the 2024 National Pub & Bar Awards.

All those selected have demonstrated excellence across a number of elements including design, service, style of offer, marketing and investment.

The awards night will also crown the Pub Group of the Year, Bar Group of the Year, The Tyrrells Tyrrellbly Good Taste Award and finally the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year

The finalists in the East of England category include:

Essex, Galvin Green Man
Bedfordshire, The Crown, Henlow
Cambridgeshire, The Royal Oak, Hail Weston
Hertfordshire, The Black Horse, Barnet
Norfolk, The Dabbling Duck
Suffolk, The Newbourne Fox

The Fox Inn is run by Deben Inns.

The historic 16th-century inn offers local ale and meals featuring locally-sourced ingredients.

It was also voted as Suffolk’s Pub of the Year at the 2018 Eat Suffolk Food and Drink Awards.

All of the 94 County Winners, will be invited to the National Pub & Bar Awards Grand Final, which will take place on June 26 at 30 Euston Square, London.
