Teenagers arrested after Woodbridge machete and knife-related incidents





Teenagers have been arrested after a series of knife and machete-related incidents in Woodbridge.

At about 6.30pm yesterday, four males approached a teenage boy in Elmhurst Park and pulled out a machete.

The group then left the scene.

Later that evening, at about 8.10pm, two boys were threatened with a machete outside a Warwick Road kebab shop by two males.

The suspects then fled the scene in a blue Ford Fiesta, which drove off in the direction of Edwin Avenue.

Around 10 minutes later, a woman was approached by three males near the skate park in Station Road.

She was threatened with a large knife before the suspects fled in a blue Ford Fiesta.

Following the incidents police officers conducted thorough searches of the area.

Police arrested three teenage men in connection with the incidents – two 19-year-olds and one 18-year-old – last night.

All three were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain.
