Two Hollesley Bay absconders arrested and returned to prison




Two absconders from a Suffolk prison have been detained after appeals to help find them.

Philip Pardoe, 34, absconded from Hollesley Bay on Thursday, November 12.

He was located in the Basildon area on Friday, December 4 and has been returned to the prison system.

Meanwhile, Scott Marchant, 37, was released on temporary licence at 9am on Saturday, December 5, but failed to return to the prison later that afternoon.

He was arrested by officers from Essex Police this morning and is currently in police custody, from where he will be returned to the prison system.

Police have thanked the public and the media for their help with the appeals to find them.
