Aldred Stanley and Tommy Mitchell, who went missing from Hollesley Bay prison, arrested in London and returned to jail




Two men who had absconded from a Suffolk prison have been arrested and returned to jail after they were found in London at the weekend.

Aldred Stanley, who was also known as Alfred Stanley, had been missing from Hollesley Bay prison since Saturday, May 22.

The 43-year-old, who was convicted for arson and robbery, was found in the London area on Saturday and is now back in prison.

And 21-year-old Tommy Mitchell, who is serving a sentence of six years and six months for burglary and theft offences, had been missing from Hollesley Bay since Wednesday, April 14.

He was also located in the London area on Saturday and returned to the prison system.

Police have thanked the media and the public for their help with the appeals to find them.
