A1152 at Bromeswell closed after serious crash which sees two people taken to hospital with serious injuries




Two people had to be cut from their cars after a serious crash on the A1152 near Woodbridge.

Suffolk Police were called to the scene on the Eyke Road at Bromeswell at around 8.05am today to reports of a two car crash. Paramedics, fire crews and two air ambulances were also in attendance.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries, with one having been airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, and the other taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance.

The road is currently closed between the junction with the B1084 Orford Road and the crossroads junction of Bridge Road and Sheepdrift Road.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area, with the closure expected to be in place for several hours.

Witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting reference CAD 48 of November 18.
