Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle fully alight and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a hose reel to bring the flames under control.

The carriageway was temporarily closed while the fire was extinguished — but it reopened shortly after.

Crews also utilised a thermal imaging camera and lighting equipment to manage the incident.
