Police investigate spate of arson incidents in Northgate Street and Cannon Street, Bury St Edmunds, after wheelie bins set on fire





Police are investigating a series of arson incidents after several wheelie bins were set on fire late at night in a town.

Three bins in Northgate Street and Cannon Street, Bury St Edmunds, were targeted at some time between 11pm on Thursday and the early hours of Friday.

Residents in the area are asked to review their CCTV footage for the time period if they have any.

A police spokesperson said the fires were quickly extinguished, but deliberately set alight.
