We've devised this list of seven restaurants rated five star on Tripadvisor to help you pick from the best and avoid any unpleasant surprises.

The Lowestoft Tandoori in High Street, Lowestoft, is one of the top-rated Suffolk restaurants on Tripadvisor. Serving Indian and Asian cuisine with options to dine in or take away, this eatery is a hit with residents.

With dishes ranging from tandoori mixed grill to chicken tikka balti, bhuna and dansak, there are plenty of options to choose from. Four vegetarian mains and several sides mean veggie friends are catered for also.

Edwards cafe in Thoroughfare, Halesworth, is a family run restaurant offering home-cooked meals to visitors.

The cafe prides itself on fresh ingredients. Their meat products come from Palmers and is British and local, their pork is free range from Blythburgh and their eggs are free range from Huntingfield.

Traditional English breakfasts, sandwiches and tea and coffee go down well with Tripadvisor reviews branding the food delicious and reasonably priced.
