Woman sexually assaulted at a property in the Granville Road area of Felixstowe

A woman was sexually assaulted in a property in Felixstowe yesterday.

A member of the public called police after finding the woman on the floor of a property in the Granville Road area of the town.

It is thought an unknown man entered the property before sexually assaulting the woman.

The suspect is described as a white male, with a local accent and possibly aged in his twenties. He was believed to be wearing mainly black or dark-coloured clothing.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, while the woman is being supported by specially trained officers.

Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.

Police would like to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between 9am and midday yesterday.

Officers are also asking residents to review CCTV or dash cam footage for anything that may be of use to the police investigation.
