Defoe Road, Ipswich, shut after ‘serious’ crash between motorbike and car at junction with Henley Road as air ambulance called
The air ambulance was called after a person was injured in a ‘serious’ crash between a motorbike and a car.
Police and the ambulance service were called to incident in Defoe Road, at the junction with Henley Road, Ipswich, just before 2pm.
A police spokesperson said the motorcyclist had suffered injuries, the extent of which are not known.
The road was closed in the aftermath of the crash.
An ambulance spokesperson said Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, a road ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
They added a man was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care.
Suffolk Police confirmed recovery work is now complete and the junction has reopened.
