Ed Sheeran celebrates Ipswich Town Football Club’s promotion to the Premier League

Despite not showing up to the game in person, superstar Ed Sheeran has shared his celebrations as Ipswich Town secure their place in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old singer posted a video to his Instagram, where he watched the match and celebrated their win.

He then video called the team after the game to congratulate them.

Mr Sheeran woke up at 7am in Miami – where he is performing today – to tune in to the match.

He said: “For the actual town, this means a hell of a lot.”

To the team, via video call, he said: “Well done, congratulations.”
