Ipswich Town squad numbers 2024/25: Two key shirts vacant as new signings Aro Muric, Ben Johnson, Jacob Greaves, Conor Townsend Omari Hutchinson and Liam Delap choose numbers

Ipswich Town have confirmed their squad numbers for the upcoming 2024/25 Premier League campaign and two key shirts have been left vacant.

As it stands, the Blues will have no number nine for their curtain-raiser at home to Liverpool on Saturday (12.30pm), with new striker Liam Delap, who joined for a reported £15 million last month, taking the 19 shirt that Kayden Jackson donned during his time at Portman Road.

With no midfielders arriving so far this summer, the number eight shirt is also available which comes as Town have been reported to be eying up a move for England international Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City.

Last season’s loan star Omari Hutchinson, whose transfer to Portman Road was made permanent in a record-breaking move for the Blues, has kept the number 20 shirt that he scored 10 goals and registered five assists in last term.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Aro Muric has taken the number one shirt off Christian Walton, who has reverted back to wearing 28, while centre-back Jacob Greaves will wear 24.

Full-back Ben Johnson, who wore number two and 31 during his time at West Ham, has taken the number 18 shirt and left-back Conor Townsend will wear 22.
