Police investigation begins after fatal house fire in Bury Road, Thetford
An investigation has been launched following a fatal house fire in a town.
Police were called at 9.23pm yesterday by fire crews who had discovered a body inside a property in Bury Road, Thetford while responding to a fire.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
The scene is cordoned off while officers and fire investigators are working to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
Firefighters from Thetford were called at 8.53pm and used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and crews wore breathing apparatus.
Appliances left the scene at 10.37pm.
